Burning off the Leftovers

Preamble:

Turkey day is over, and the leftovers should have been eaten or tossed out.  This morning’s beatdown burned off the remainders.  Started with a rusty disclaimer from YHC & a welcome to two FNGs, lots of assists from the other PAX & no litigation expected.  52 and cloudy, low wind; and short sleeves would have been fine.

Warm-O-Rama:

A mosey around the pavilion with butt kickers, high knees, kariokcorcraroake right and left.  Finally circled up in a sketchy dark corner for SSH, Windmills, weedpickers, Imperial walkers, arm circles and COVIDs.  Mosey to the big green (aka “the Mausoleum”, aka “the Lawn of Yawns”).

The Thang:

Part One:

Vicious Circle, 2x around the center circle.

VC#1 was a bear crawl (with option to modify to hand-stand walking per Vertigo) clockwise around the mound, with the last man doing 5 burpees on the mound then going to the front of the line.  Continue until all PAX have a turn.

VC#2 was a crab walk counter-clockwise, with 20 alpha-count Freddy Mercuries on the mound.

Part Deux:

20 LBFC’s

30 Sumo Squats

40 Merkins

50 Lunges, SC

60 American Hammers, SC (back at home)

Then de-escalate back around the field.  The last four PAX at each corner station end early & advance to keep the group tight, AKA ‘final 4 catch up’.

Finished exactly on time.

COT:

Welcome to Clearance and Beater, both finished strong.  Prayers for: wisdom for Flo who joined a fostering community of care, Dinghy who is traveling to upstate NY, various PAX who are sitting out for injuries.  Gave a shout out for Santa Ruck this weekend and pitched the benefits of Slack to all.  Ended with a prayer and a quick trash patrol on the field.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Always a pleasure to lead.  The men of F3 are a source of encouragement and accountability- every beatdown is a reminder of this.  Great work guys.
