Preamble:

A little frost on the pumpkin this morning for the day before Thanksgiving beatdown at the Hooch. With the Hot and Special (i.e., the Turkey Day 5k at Bushwood) tomorrow, didn’t want to put the Pax through TOO much running, just a tad – but what to do? How does one ensure that a group of in-shape HIMs gets a proper beatdown. Hence had to go to the lab, and out came a new routine to make everyone sweat (and inspire threats of violence).

So, circled up, provided the standard disclaimer, and off we went…..

Warm-O-Rama:

The Thang:

Eased into the beatdown with 11’s (Hand release Merkins paired with Bonnie Blairs, with a 50 yard run in between each).

10 count to re-set, leading into Buster Douglases (10 rounds), which consist of increasing reps of

• Mike Tysons x 1 (then 2, 3, 4, 5, etc., up to 10)
• Monkey Humpers x 2 (then 4, 6, 8, 10, etc., up to 20)
• Bobby Hurleys x 3 (then 6, 9, 12, 15, etc., up to 30)
• Air Presses x 4 (then 8, 12, 16, 20, etc., up to 40)

After the standing 10 count (vs. an 8 count), moseyed to the Starbucks parking lot for the Movember Hoedown (November is, indeed, Men’s Health Month). Pax did 2 alpha count Hillbillies, side shuffled across the parking lot, 2 more alpha count Hillbillies, side shuffled back. Rinsed and repeated through completion of the song IF YOU’VE ONLY GOT A MUSTACHE (Feathers – song is by Amic Byram)

Moseyed back to the flag for 6 Minutes of Mary, including:

2. Santa Ruck is coming up, 11 December. Keep an eye out in Slack for details, Devito is coordinating. Family event as well…..

Prayers/Praise:

1. Praise and continued prayers for Birdie’s dad. May he continue to feel strong, and may the doctors figure out and resolve what is ailing him as quickly as possible
2. Praise for YHC’s brother having found gainful employment. Thanks to everyone for those prayers

Naked-Man Moleskin:

YHC will say it again – it’s a challenge and a blessing to be given the opportunity to lead these HIMs in working to achieve fitness and be better men – together. And it was made better by the fellowship of a meal afterward. As we take tomorrow to give thanks for all the blessings we have, I’m also going to take a little time to be thankful that I have the privilege and was given the gift of being a part of F3. Keep passing this gift on, men!
