Firehouse Spartan

Preamble:

YHC completely forgot he was on the Q-sheet until the day before… but thankfully there was an ‘ace in the sleeve’. A quick text to Lexi from F3 Cherokee later, the beatdown was in the works…

Warm-O-Rama:

As we gathered together before before the call-time, Ace conveniently referenced Clubber Lang from Rocky 3: “What’s your prediction for the fight? Pain!”

With the normal group + Lexi who dropped in from F3 Cherokee in tow, on queue we commenced the 90s hip-hop playlist and mosey’d to the normal spot.

After the standard disclaimer, we started the work.

15-ish Side Straddle Hops

15 Copperhead Squats

15 Moroccan Night Clubs

15 Willie Mays Hays

15 Weed Pickers

The Thang:

We then mosey’d to the upper soccer field, and began the Spartan Beatdown:

PAX line up and sprint 100 yards.
Do 10 merkins at the finish and walk back to the start all together.
Q starts each sprint race with a verbal call.
Continue until you have done 30 x100 yard sprints and 10×30 = 300 Merkins, or time runs out.

Time ran out and we finished with 15 100-yard sprints + 150 merkins.

Death came, quads were a-burnin’, and everyone was in a daze. Glory!

COT:

After the count-off, we circled-up and shared prayer requests & announcements.  Thanks went up for Ace’s mother (successful surgery) and prayers for Lightweight’s search for new talent. Also, a quick announcement around Santa Ruck in December.
