Coupon Monday at Badapple!
AO: Bad Apple
When: 10/12/2020
QIC: Rusty
PAX (10): Speedo, Sprocket, Turbin, Ollie, Snax, Brutus, Chalupa, GOAT, Swamp Donkey
Preamble:
Coupons, Coupons, Coupons! Coupons Galore this morning. Got a visit from Speedo as he wanted to check out the badapple.
Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey’d to some Jerry Reed across the street to the shopping center. We circled up.
Weed Picker x 10
Windmill x 10
Imperial Walker x 10
Monkey Humpers x 10
It was time to exercise to some tunes. The PAX is to slow squat while I play the song “Whole Wide World” by Cage the Elephant. Every time the chorus sang “Whole Wide World”, the PAX would do a burpee. A good way to get the blood flowing… After the song ended, we mosey’d back to the flag.
The Thang:
The PAX is the partner up. For each group, they are to grab a coupon (either a 25 lb. plate, 35 lb. plate or 26 lb. kettlebell) and work through the following:
- Thrusters x 100
- Skull Crushers x 150
- Swinging V x 200
- Bicep Curls x 250
While one team member is hammering through these exercises, the other runs to the baseball diamond where there are several cinder blocks at home plate. With the cinder block, lunge from home plate to first base and back. Then run back to the flag to switch out with your partner.
While on the last set, the PAX brought the cinders back down the steps, we rounded everyone up and headed to the pull-up bar. We did a morning call (3 pull-ups, the PAX does the merkins to the count of the pull-ups). Mosey’d back to the flag.
The PAX circled up. Same as the beginning. To Kenny Roger’s smash hit “The Gambler”, the PAX was to slow squat, then burpee when the chorus sang “Know When To.” Ironically enough, we hit time right as the first chorus was about to be sang…
COT:
Talked about the convergence this upcoming Saturday. Also, had prayers for Chalupa’s dad (Mike), who is having complications with AFIB, Swamp Donkey’s co-worker (Shetti), who is battling some issues with her stomach and the pastor at Lebanon church (Mark), who tested positive for COVID. Lastly, prayers for our country and community.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
It was a sweaty morning. Alot of moving and lifting. We had a great group this morning. Many joined for coffee at Scooters afterwards with our brothers from the Wreck.
