No Blocks, No Problem

Preamble:

Welcome to October. After a brutal, cinder block laden September, and after Dubya’s running heavy beatdown on Tuesday, YHC decided he needed add some spice to the gruel this week.  After a brief disclaimer, it was time to get after.

Warm-O-Rama:

Cold start – down to the track and once around (and a spirited once around it was).

Circle up around the flag pole for a little Warm-O-Rama (all IC and all x12)

Mosey over to the field

The Thang:

With the announcement that the DHS Wildcats would take the field this weekend, we decided to as well. YHC lined up the PAX on the goal line, for an out and back evolution. The out was to 10, 20, 30 and so on, all the way to the far goal line, the back was to the starting goal line, with 10 plank jacks at the out and 10 Hand-release merkins at the back. For those playing at home, that’s 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180 and 200 yards (or roughly 2/3 of a mile, 100 plank jacks, and 100 hand release merkins)

Now that the boys were warm, and damp, over to the high jump pit for a little Leon’s Box Cutter Tabata. (3 sets of x12 / IC)

Out to the track and once around, with a new deal every 50 yards: Mosey, Lunge Walk, Backwards run, 75% run (repeat-0)

Back to the launch pad for Tabata 2 – Rosalitas (3 sets of x12 / IC)

Back over to the pitch for 4 rounds of 50 yard jail break and 50 yards of mosey. (and those boys were fast)

Back to the pit one last time, and speaking of time, we were short time, so instead of a Tabata, YHC zigged and we ripped off 36 low-dolly’s IC (double quick time).

And that was it.

Circle up we did, and once we named our Nebraska born FNG –  Mulch-Man (an educator for students needing extra attention, math and science) and father of 3 (twin 14 year olds and a 20 year old) with his own Dunwoody Debbie!

Chain-Gang took us out with praise for all the gifts we have.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

There is a rumor that Leon might Q the bike ride manana, not sure who has the helm for the run.

Seles has the Q on Saturday for a full hour of power at DNC. (I suggest resting up and skipping that last beer)
