Stronger than concrete

Preamble:
Perfect weather with 50 degrees and no rain. YHC bought two coupons (cinder blocks) in advance in preparation for this morning’s BD. Earlier this week I asked the PAX to bring coupons, 1 for every two PAX, and to be an even number of PAX so that we can do a Dora.
I was glad to note both requests were met!
Warm-O-Rama:
A mosey with some QB on the parking lines. SSH, Chain Breakers, Weed Pickers and Imperial Walkers.
The Thang:
We grabbed the coupons and took a position near the sidewalk, pairing up for a Dora.
1 PAX runs along the narrow sidewalk that crosses the parking lot while the other stays with the coupon for 100 of each: Curls, Side to Side Drags (plank position, drag the coupon under you from side to side, alpha count), Squats and Skull Crushers.
In the middle of the Dora Splinter proved to be stronger than concrete when he broke the poor coupon. The PAX were ready with extras.
We took the coupons to the back of the restaurant for a Ring of Fire.
Keeping with same pairs, each pair got a different workout to do AMRAP except one pair that run around the parking lot. When that pair returned everyone shifted position. Repeat until each pair did each of the workouts –
- Men Makers (Burpees with coupon)
- Bear Crawl aimlessly around
- Wonder Bra (push forward, push up). Surprisingly difficult with a cinder block. YHC shouldn’t have been surprised, but was.
- Bonnie Blairs
- Lunges with the coupons
2nd Ring of Fire with some changes:
- Men Makers (why change a good thing?)
- Monkey Hampers
- Shoulder Presses
- Mucho Chesto
- Lunges with the coupons
We had just enough time for a workout that go the PAX a bit confused, but I think it worked anyway. Circle up, plank position. One coupon being passed around. When you drag the coupon under you clockwise, shift position and start doing American Hammers. When the coupon reaches you again, pass it above you and shift position back to Plank. Continue with Plank and Hammers till the end of the song Pass the Dutchie.
We had just enough time to return to the flag before YHC called time.

Naked-Man Moleskin:
We might not all be stronger than concrete, but I found that F3 on all its 3 Fs definitely makes us stronger in all aspects of our lives. At the very least i can testify about myself. Physically, mentally, confidence – they all improved in the last 2+ years I’m in F3. I am very thankful to have it in my life.
