Yacht Rock Board of Pain

Preamble:

As PAX have come to expect YHC to bring a monthly Murph to the Wreck, Q decided to channel his inner Double-D and throw the boys a curve-ball on a seasonal Fall morning.  Today would be one for the RESPECT (or nearly RESPECT) PAX who have a knack for remembering one-hit wonders.

Warm-O-Rama:

Slow mosey up the main road toward the large parking lot near the activity fields for some standard disclaimers and the following warm-up’s:

• SSHs
• Plank-Jacks
• Hillbillys
• Abe Vigodas

Split into teams of two and head to the football fields for the main event.

The Thang:

As much as YHC really wanted to dust-off the Board of Pain OG-style, he also wanted to switch things up a bit and make it more entertaining.  With a playlist in tow and BoP exercises illuminated on the board, it was time to test PAX’s Yacht Rock knowledge.

Each song listed below was played, and the team that identified the correct artist first only had to do 50% of the listed exercise.  Once completed, all finishers would bear-crawl for 10 yards, run 40 yards and back, then crab-walk the remaining 10 yards to the start.  Rinse/repeat until the song was finished.

• 100 Shoulder-Taps – Moonlight Feels Right (Starbuck)

With T-4 on the clock, Q directed PAX to head back to the flag.  No time for Mary today.
