Monthly Murph

Preamble:

It was canonized some time ago in The Wreck’s book of lore that PAX shalt conduct The Murph on a monthly basis, and the point was raised just recently that such duties have been neglected as of late.  Apparently, Wreck PAX look to YHC to carry said torch, so Q felt a moral obligation to resurrect established tradition by delivering a twist on an old favorite.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey along the main drag past the football fields to a parking lot adjacent to the perimeter trail for disclaimers and the following warm-ups:

• Weed-Pickers
• Toy Soldiers
• Little Baby Arm Circle

Continue mosey along the perimeter trail (just over a mile) and gather PAX at the playground.

The Thang:

Direct PAX to fetch a lifting coupon and air-chair for the six.  When Q asked if any PAX were unfamiliar with The Murph, more than a few raised their hands serving as a testament to the neglect of our favorite BD.  Today’s edition would be simple – 10 rounds of the following:

• 10 Pull-Ups
• 15 Overhead Press (with coupon)
• 20 Decline Merkins
• 30 Squats (with coupon)

After directing PAX to choose a partner of integrity, everyone got to work.  Q chose his coupon poorly, so he directed PAX to rotate coupons after round 5 only to find that his fellow PAX chose just as poorly as he did.

With T-10 left on the clock, Q directed PAX to complete the rotation they were on and return coupon from whence it came and gather up for a final mosey.  Some PAX opted for a short mosey home, while others opted to chase Q for a proper final mile.

A quick round of Mary before time was called.
