Preamble:
We’ve been spoiled lately with morning temperatures in the 50’s so I wasn’t sure how many PAX would post with a dip back into the mid-30’s. I should never doubt my F3 brothers as 26 PAX were at the flag at 5:30 and we moseyed to the football field parking lot for the Disclaimer and Warm-up.
Warm-O-Rama:
- 12 Windmills
- 12 Weed Pickers
- 12 Imperial Walkers
- 15 SSH
The Thang:
The workout this morning was a modified version of the Nolan Richardson “40 minutes of Hell”. When we arrived at the football field for instructions we were greeted by a tailgate speaker and a playlist of motivational alternative tunes from the 90’s and early 2000’s. Apologies to those that only came out this morning expecting another Justin Bieber playlist..
After a brief explanation, the PAX partnered up with a shared coupon. Partner 1 performed the exercises listed below (with coupon) while Partner 2 ran backwards to the 50-yard line, did a “Bobby Hurley”, and then ran back to the goal line to switch with Partner 1. This rotation continued until the prescribed number of each exercise was achieved.
- 150 Merkins (no coupon)
- 300 Curls
- 150 Big Boy Sit-ups
- 300 Overhead Presses
- 150 Sumo Squats
- 300 Rows
A few groups finished the above exercises and began to rinse and repeat, while the rest finished, or came close, as time was running out. YHC called in the 6 at 6:10 and began our mosey back to the flag for a few minutes of Mary.
COT:
Squeak’s M is teaching Yoga & Beer on Saturday (March 9) from 10 – 11:30 at Gate City. The cost is $15 for the yoga class that includes a beer to enjoy at the end.
TAP go out to Tweaker and his family as he’s spending the week in TN to help out as his father was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Fortunately it’s treatable but will be a long road ahead.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
That to all the PAX who posted at the Wreck this morning – especially those that regularly post at other AOs (Manchester, Devito, MillerTime). The March challenge of posting at 3 AOs per week is in full swing and it’s great, and an inspiration to see!
