A non-running running beatdown

Preamble:

YHC was privileged to lead 18 PAX in the gloom, during a rare dry break in February’s monsoon season. 5 PAX for a pre-beatdown shield lock run. Jimbo’s healing heel reconnoitered on beatdown eve whether there would be running. Indeed, we ran the gamut. The mumble chatter was music to YHC’s ears.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to Hurricane’s. Consider group monkey humper outside Iron Tribe with business end facing the glass; will leave that for another day and another QIC. SSH x20, Mountain climbers x15, Weed picker x 10, Windmill x10.

The Thang:

Thang 1

Mosey to the track for some Dora. Partner up and alternate as one exercises while the other takes a lap. Exercises:

• 100x burpees (YHC’s response to some mumble chatter got a little frisky; apologies to PAX within earshot)
• 200x monkey humpers (jelly legs for all)
• 300x American hammers
• Plank for 6, then 10-count

Thang 2

Mosey to base of chapel hill for Bernie’s balls to the wall. Partner up and alternate as one does BTTW while the other does Bernie Sanders up the hill, does 10 V-ups, then runs back around down. Switch. Rinse and repeat. Copperhead squats, then mosey to parking lot. Indian run in 2 lines back to flag. A motorcade passed through the running Indian tribe. YHC went right as his PAX went left. Wisdom of the crowd was clearly on PAXs’ side. YHC survived his poor choice.

YHC has been with F3 for nearly 6 months. The story of a Jax PAX resonated this week – lost 140 lbs in 6 months. Do the math on how many lbs per month and that is absolutely incredible. This man is the same age, industry, former location, and time in F3 as YHC. This man is me. Thank you to my F3 brothers for locking shields, not leaving me behind, nor leaving me how you found me.
