Preamble:
YHC got the call, err, message, last night that Callahan was down after a dance with The Wicked Witch on Monday and could not Q Thursday morning. Well, the girlfriends are always ready to party so I told Nacho that I would take the Q.
The pre-dawn gloom was cold. Okay, for Georgia it was cold. 22 degrees at The Norseman AO while our real Norseman brothers in the Twin Cities were out in -23 degree weather. Yes, -23. As in below zero. Before wind chill. Pull your big boy pants on and get out in it!
After stashing the truck in the big lot and running up to the flag the PAX always knows what is coming next… playtime with the Bulgarian Ladies.
Warm-O-Rama:
After the short mosey to the big lot and the truck we circled for:
- SSH
- Weed Pickers
- Imperial Walkers
We had a full 39 minutes planned on The Thang so it was time to get after it.
The Thang:
But Houston, we have a problem! The pin that secures the swing out tire carrier to the back of Truck Norris was frozen solid! I could not get it to budge! And even worse, neither could Nacho! So I climbed in the back seat and removed the first 3 girls I could lay my hands on. On to the workout.
In typical Musical Dora style we pair up (well, kind of. We were 3). While partner 1 runs to the other side of the big lot and back, partner 2 performs the prescribed exercise then flapjack when partner 1 returns. Repeat the same run/exercise until the song is over. New song, new exercise.

At this point we were running a bit late after fighting with the frozen pin so we returned the ladies to the truck and mosied back to the flag.
At the flag a 20 count LBC to finish .
COT:
Cross Ruck is coming 4/19. 4 mile ruck/walk open to the community. Starting at 0430 from Alpharetta First UMC parking lot at 59 N. Main Street. Stops at “the garden”, “the courthouse”, “Golgotha” and “The Toomb”. This is a powerful way to start off Easter weekend. EH your friends and neighbors.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
Always a pleasure to lead two strong men! I have not found Beaker’s weakness yet. He runs and can swing a girlfriend around with the best of them. Always fun to catch up on rasling (you have to say it with a southern accent) talk when he an Nacho get together. And Nacho. He mau have met his match in Beaker but it would be a great showdown to see them go at it mano e mano.
