It was a beautiful spring like morning on Milton Ave. this morning. The birds were singing in the dark as 5 PAX formed up for a 5:30am Hoppy-like run.
The Thang:
We are always looking for a new loop to run so we selected a 5.7 mile loop and took off down Academy St., turns into Webb Bridge and across the bridge over Sad Clown River (GA 400). We took a left on Morris Rd. and toured the new construction projects and ran through the Marta Park and Ride past the buses stopped for pickup then left on North Point Parkway, left on Windward, back under GA 400 and back up to a left on Westside Parkway and a right on Cumming St. to take us back to Main St. and Milton Ave. 5.7 miles at an average 8:59 minute mile. 53 degrees but felt warmer as we finished up.
Def Con II, nice recovery from a spill on a driveway ramp. Nice finish with a dose of adrenaline.
Nothing like returning to Milton Ave. It seems that every direction is up hill to end the run!
