There are moments in every man’s life when he has to stop and realize a fundamental truth. We are idiots. I am an idiot. As my childhood hero, Detective Dirty Harry Callahan said, “A man’s got to know his limitations.” Well, Dirty Harry, YHC (and 5 other pax) have a lot to learn. So YHC was feeling good last night aided by Fireball (Ignite the Night!) and thought an extra pre-beatdown 30 would be a tremendous idea. And let’s make the first 30 especially cringe-worthy. Here’s what happened.
Skip the warmup.
Mosey to the hill. Stop on the way down for some curb merkins. Definitely NOT around the clock merkins. 10 facing each direction. Mosey to the bottom of the hill. Get in groups of 3 for Jacobs Ladder Partner Carry up the hill with burpees. 1 Partner runs while other 2 Partner carry and rotate as needed. 7 burpees at the top. Back down the hill and 6 burpees at the bottom. So on and until 1 burpee at the top. Much needed recovery and then mosey back to the flag to pick up 2 more pax.
Mosey to the turf field for an official warmup. Then pax form a line on the soccer field. First pax does 5 burpees and runs around perimeter. All other pax in plank. As soon as first pax finishes 5 burpees and takes off, second pax starts 5 burpees. After a couple rounds of this, the pax plank at the far end of the field. Time for Dora 1, 2, 3. 100 monkeyhumpers, 200 seal jacks, 300 LBCs. Other pax run up the stairs to concessions and back.
Hand off the Q to Dosido.
Mosey to low field for crowd pleaser. Merkins/squats on sidelines: 5,10,15,20 reps each 5 burpees each midfield pass.
7/10 mi loop to lot. Mary= box cutter, dolly, fast flutter, Rosalita, lbc, reverse lbc, merkins, and 30 copperhead squats
