When your coupons get locked in the car… bring a sandbag?

AO: Meathouse

When: 2024-10-22

QIC: Harding

PAX (7): Boomer, Feathers, Fuzzy Dice, Harding, Meatball, Popper, PuffDaddy

Preamble:

When my day job constantly gets me focused on efficiency and simplification, I think the creative part of my brain tends to get excited and I often over-complicate the beatdown design… not gonna lie though, I enjoy the creative outlet!!

With my M locking up my coupons in our older car the night before - and the car keys along with them - I had to change a couple of exercises from the original the BD plan… I think it worked out OK. I hope the PAX agree!

Warm-O-Rama:

SSH, Seal Jacks, Imperial Walkers, copperhead squats, breeze-mills (slow windmills…)

Walk to BD location - by the stage w coupons…

The Thang:

Format:

Timer based: 4 minutes each station.

PAX count off 1 & 2 for pairing (only good for first round, as you’ll see…).

Each Station has a PAX 1 and a PAX 2, who alternate between two exercises, until timer is up.

When timer is up, PAX 1 moves to the station on the “left” and PAX  2 moves to the station on the “right” for a new PAX pairing at each station.

At each station, Exercise 1 is AMRAP and Exercise 2 is for # Reps and dictates the switch.

YHC had a few stations prepared, not knowing how many PAX would join. So with 7 PAX we broke into 3 groups (one of 3) and 2 rounds with 3 stations each…

Round 1

Stn 1: Peter Parker Merkins : Coup-ox jumps x10 (coupon-box jumps, coupon laying on its side).

Stn 2: Mtn climbers : Coupon Lawnmower rows x5 each side

Stn 3: Gas Pumpers : Coupon OH press x10

Round 2:

Stn 1: Ruck plate (30lb) curls : Coupon swings x10

Stn 2: Plank Jacks : Sandbag to shoulder squats x6 (single)

Stn 3: Seal Jacks : Coupon Deadlift x10

The PAX kindly helped me put the sandbag, ruck plate and cones away in my car and we proceeded to the flag for Mary…

COT:

CSAUP at nirvana Saturday

Thanksgiving Turkey-Trot at Bushwood (more to come)

Prayers said and unsaid.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

This AO is always a fun challenge to Q, and even though creativity sometimes gets me in trouble I aim not to sacrifice the effectiveness of a quality (and modifiable where needed) Beatdown for our PAX. This is an awesome group of PAX and they deserve so!
