Weather Men – We Are Not!

Preamble:

Well, IPC is over…..so sad! But that just means Academy is back up and running……AND running was on the menu today. Also, a little visit to our favorite big brother AO – The Rubicon.

1 Pre-Runner & 9 Pax were ready to go at 5:15….disclaimer given and time to go.

Warm-O-Rama:

Maybe a little impromptu SSH’s while giving the disclaimer and a few pax joined in.

The Thang:

Black Snake run to the corner of Milton Ave./Main Street.

Route 66 w/ Imperial Squat Walkers

11 stops with the exercise going up with each stop.

Stopped at the corner of Old Milton/Main Street for 25 Monkey Humpers OYO. Thank you Devito for being present!

Stopped around the Wills Park Pool to try and let the Rube-Crew clear out of the parking lot.

Dang it, still there….but each man just looked straight ahead, in stealth mode, and they didn’t see a thing 🙂

Kept moseying to the playground for some Morning Call. Still in stealth-mode, the pax approached the FOD but no sign of our Rubiconian brothers. Finally, Sweeper used his super-human hearing and located the men on the meat-grinder.

Happy 5 Years to Fanny Pack. Dora was being performed so we joined in. Something along the lines of 100-American Hammers, 100-Goblet Squats, 100-Skull Crushers (maybe something else…) and other partners runs two islands.

5:55 so time to head back to the Academy flag. On the way, stopped for:

• 5 Burpees
• 10 Scorpion Dry Docks – left leg
• 5 Burpees
• 10 Scorpion Dry Docks – right leg

Looking for a wall while on the stretch of Roswell Street near Pure. Sweeper spotted a good one but not much sidewalk to work with but the pax did the best they could with a new exercise combining Mike Tyson’s and Donkey Kicks……Mike Tysonkey Kicks x 10.

• More Monkey Humpers at the corner near Coalition.

Straight to the track for an attempted full lap of a combination of Bear Crawl, Lunge Walk, Crab Walk, Cheetah Crawl and Duck Walk. “This is a race, men”. Devito thought he had won until time was running out and YHC called for the pax to turn around and head back to where we started 🙂

• Back to the flag and plank for the last 45 seconds until time.

• Prayers for all the victims of Hurricane Helene AND those in the path of Hurricane Milton.
• Prayers for YHC’s FIL who just had hernia surgery.
• Prayers for Sweeper’s dad who was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
• Also, not mentioned this am but prayers for YHC’s dad who has been battling the flu since middle of last week.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

We had some discussions after the COT about the impending Hurricane in FL. Some trying to show their knowledge about hurricane patterns, rotation, which side is better or worse.

While others demonstrated, with much animation, what a hurricane looked like as it rotated….

Last but not least, congrats to Lumbergh on a great last 12+ months as the Academy site Q…well done sir! And congrats are also in order to Turbine who has accepted the role of new site Q….let’s keep things rolling and keep EH’ing those men that need a little more Academy in their life!!
