Good Samaritans

Preamble:

9 pax for a muggy, swampy kind of morning at the Rubicon. YHC urged for record numbers on a Tuesday in 2024 and while the high mark was definitely not set, the men made up for it in Samaritan-ship!

Headlamps were called for and the men mostly listened.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey down Old Milton a little and up just past the swimming hole for some of the usual stuff.

The Thang:

Into the trails behind Wills park, with headlamps shining, the pax quickly found all kinds of down tree limbs, logs, debris, etc. For about the first 1/4 mile, Rubiconians were the best clean-up crew the area has ever seen.

Pearls On A String:

BLIMPS (stack ’em) along the route every 100 yards or so.

At the parking lot over in front of horse park, the men got in groups of 3 for some Crawl, Walk, Run action (thank you Zohan for the surprisingly easy search function on F3Alpha’s Exicon page!).

Mosey to parking lot by basketball court for 5 Angle Grinders.

Back to the flag now with 6-7 minutes left where the men were introduced to…

Big Bang:

All started in tight circle formation and for each exercise called (4 rounds) the pax would take off away from the circle in coinciding steps/reps (just like the big bang).

• 10 Turkish Get-ups
• 20 Bonnie Blairs
• 30 Shoulder Taps
• 40 Freddie Mercuries

Plank for the last 60 seconds or so!

COT:

• Prayers for Special K’s daughter who’s having jaw surgery today.
• Prayers for Dosido.

Announcements:

D-Day Ruck – this Thursday at 5:00 AM from the Rubicon (4 miles) and then another 4 miles at 8:00 pm in the evening (from Rubicon as well).
