Weather conditions: 46 degrees with a light drizzle that did pick up at one point or two during beatdown.

18 pax posted for the first Rubicon workout with our ATLANTA BRAVES being World Series CHAMPIONS!!!  TWO FNG’s (welcome Kitty and Mr. Bean) also managed to beat the fartsack and make it out on this gloomy of all glooms.

First the 5 Core Principles of F3 were recited by the veteran pax:

• Led in rotating fashion with no training neccessary

Today’s “By The Numbers” workout began right away with the warm-up.

26 SSH – # of years since the Braves last won the World Series in ’95

24 Mtn. Climbers – Tyler Matzek K’s in the ’21 postseason

14 Plank Jacks – Eddie Rosario hits during the NLCS on his way to NLCS MVP (forgot to mention this number tied for most in LCS history)

5 Slow Windmills – Freddie homeruns hit in the ’21 postseason tying the franchise record set by the Crime Dog-Fred McGriff

3 Burpees OYO – Jorge Soler BOMBS hit in the World Series on way to WS MVP

The Thang:

After moseying back to Old Milton Pkwy, YHC went over the start of the main event for today’s Braves celebration.

ROUTE 66 – What an incredible route/journey the Braves took this year after losing so many key pieces along the way including Soroka, Acuna, Ozuna and C. Morton in the first game of the World Series. This exercise uses 11 lightpoles and the pax would perform Bonnie Blairs (Alpha count).

This number 11 is significant b/c it is how many homeruns the Braves hit as a team in this World Series….also tying the franchise record & only 4 teams have hit more in a WS.

At the FOP the number to remember was 109.6 (rounded to 110 for the exercises). This is the Exit Velocity of Soler’s 3rd inning three-run bomb in game 6…..which left the entire stadium in miraculous fashion.

5 Burpee Broad Jumps / 10 Merkins / 10 Monkey Humpers / 5 Burpee Broad Jumps / 10 Merkins / 10 Monkey Humpers….turn around and R&R back to foul line. Plank for the six and the last 10 reps to get to 110 total would be…

Pickle Pounders.  “Pretend your pickle is …well…you get it”

Up to parking lot behind pool for 2 sets of Mucho Chesto along with 2 laps. The Mucho Chesto were for the TWO shutouts the Braves had in the WS and the TWO laps for the measily two HR’s by the Astros.

Back to the flag for some Mary started by YHC with 44 Flutters in honor of the years of service by Brian Snitker in the Braves organization. One pax also aptly mentioned Hammerin’ Hank as well!  Time for more Mary so the pax took over and provided their own numbers for the pax.

• Cookie – 16 playoff appearances since last winning the WS
• Devito – 7 runs scored in clinching WS game
• Lumbergh – 3 ode to all-time great Brave Dale Murphy
• Speedo – 20 been married two years with 0 kids the last time ATL won the WS
• Caffey – 10 another all-time great and HOF’er Chipper Jones
• Pitstop – 8 how old he was at first Braves game

COT:

Cartpath’s M still needing prayers for condition and doctors still try to figure out what is going on.

Well, that was a fun BD to plan and hope all enjoyed. If one of the pax was not a ATL Braves fan, YHC does apologize……heck, what am I saying as we deserve this baby and no one will ever be able to take this away from the ATL!!!

Great work by all today especially our two FNG’s Kitty and Mr. Bean. Takes a lot of commitment to post in these kinds of conditions. Now, will you two be back is the question!?

Lastly, F3 is truly about Fitness, Fellowship and Faith and everyone knows the Atlanta Braves demonstrated these three F’s all season long. And boy did it pay off…..2021 World Champs!
