Psych, No Rain After All
AO: Boneyard
When: 10/29/2021
QIC: FannyPack
PAX (9): Boomer, DIY, FannyPack, Feathers, Morphine, Zohan, Mater, Oxtail, Groupon
Preamble:
Rain in the forecast but none appeared- just as well because our covered space is closed for construction. A breezy 54 and a great showing at Boneyard.
DIY, Groupon, and Mater all finished week 1 strong at F3. Oxtail’s second post and he’s hooked too.
This was YHC’s first Q at Boneyard, a last minute sub. Happy to jump in & had a basic outline ready to recycle.
Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey around the Pavilion; a slow downhill and then a nice climb. High knees, butt kickers, Carioca left and right. Found a flat parking lot and circled up for:
- SSH
- Windmill
- Weedpicker
- Toy Soldier
- Imperial Walker
- Arm Circles
The Thang:
Next to the parking lot is the yet-unnamed turf field. Using the center John’s Creek logo and surrounding circle, Pax began a bear-crawl vicious circle with the man in back doing 5 burpees in the center, then rejoining at the front. Once all had a turn on the logo, we reversed direction for another round- this time crab walks and 30 alpha count Freddie Mercury’s. 10 count to recover, then…
Head to a corner for a 5 (yes f-i-v-e) corners escalator & de-escalator. Last 4 remaining Pax stop and proceed with the group, the goal is to keep moving and to generally stay together. Exercises include:
- 10 LBFC
- 20 Sumo Squat
- 30 Mercan
- 40 Bonnie Blair (SC)
- 50 American Hammers (AC)
Returned to the center, circled up, where Oxtail confessed his true love for Burpees- so we all did 5. Two rounds of Mary included Gas Pumpers and Dying Cockroaches.
Mosey back to the flag with 30 seconds on the clock so we knocked out 10 last Mercans to finish.
COT:
Awesome that we had 4 recent additions at the Boneyard. These men jumped in and pushed it hard. Zohan shared that his family is spread super thin this week with commitments and health/personal priorities; he was a maybe this morning & it was great that he made it out. Plug for the Widowmaker tomorrow morning & prayers of thanks for F3 and the encouragement it is to each of us.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
My goal for this year was to Q 12 beatdowns; until the Boneyard, all were at another AO. I was happy to jump in and lead when I saw the request for a sub yesterday.
This was week 4 of the Boneyard and week 4 of YHC posting to two AO’s- Really proud of the personal milestone and grateful to all the men who take the initiative to lead new growth, personally and at F3.
