Let’s Play Ball

Preamble:

It’s World Series time!  And our hometown team is about to win the whole thing.  So we had to kick it off in F3 style.

Warm-O-Rama:

A quick mosey for the usual warmup; SSH, Imperial Walkers, Weedpickers, Arm Circles, and Covids

The Thang:

We had to play some ball so we mosyed on over to the baseball diamond.  And we also had to celebrate our Braves and learn a little more about them.  But some of our numbers haven’t played in a while so we had to build up to actually playing a game.   So first, we warmed up by doing some exercises in honor of some of the players.

At home plate – 16 monkey humpers in honor of catcher #16 Travis d’Arnaud

Pitcher’s mound – 16 merkins in honor of the amount of pitches Charlie Morton threw on a BROKEN LEG last night

Infield – 31 squat jumps in honor of the 31 homers that Freddie Freeman slugged this year

Next, we took a little batting practice.  We split into two teams. While one team hit and ran to the foul pole the other team did an exercise based on where the ball landed:

Left Field – Eddie Rosario #16, 16merkins

Center Field – Adam Duvall, #14, 14 Bonnie Blaires

Right Field – Joc Pederson, #22, 22 Big Boys

Infield – That was an out…you’re pitching to yourself…come on…you’re better than that

Wiff – 10 burpees for everyone and you you had to go sit by the trash can that YHC brought and bang on it with a bat like a dirty, rotten, cheating, Astro.

After everyone took BP we got to our game.  One player from each team lined up next to home plate.  One team hit, the other team needed to sprint to go find and field the ball (would have been easier to find the balls with more light if we weren’t forced to start at 5:30 by False Start) and try to tag the other player before they rounded the bases.  We found out that NRA is an absolute slugfest at the plate…and we won’t mention who had to go sit by themselves and bang the trash can 🙂
