Glory Days

Preamble:

Lots of chatter on the Slack channel about the glory days of the Windjammer when the start time was 6AM, we watched sunrise on the dam, we drank our coffee in the sun and went fishing on Fridays.  YHC couldn’t replicate all of that with this Q, however I was able to bring back a few oldies but goodies that wouldn’t disappoint.  My FNG rolled in at 5:29am and after a quick disclaimer and explanation of what madness was about to ensue, we headed off into the gloom.

Warm-O-Rama:

Stop at the Dam for:

• SSH
• Imperial Walker
• Weed Picker

Another quick pitstop for a Circle Burp at the boat launch.  Now off to the main event.

The Thang:

Merkin Mile – 10 merkins at every cross street heading up to Clubhouse.  10 squats on the way down at every cross street.

Next up we headed to the Sports Park for the classic Balls to the Wall.  Hold for 30 seconds, bonus for 45 seconds

Finally, partner up for Playground Dora:

• 25 pull-ups
• 50 swerkins
• 75 lunges

Time running out, head back to the flag with a quick stop for some Mary at the Dam.

COT:

Great having such an awesome group to surround myself with.  TCLAPS for Ha-Ha for consistent posts even on his scooter.  Watching him come down the hill on the wet pavement was a sight to be seen.  Welcome FNG Matt Burns aka Silver Bullet.  He is originally from Colorado and works in the alcohol industry, hence the namesake. Prayers for those battling cancer, Covid and other illnesses.  Convergence coming up on 10/23.
