The week of July 10th is here and the July 12th launch date for Fowler Park is now only 2 alarm clocks away.
It really only seems like yesterday a few PAX finally decided to blaze a trail north into Forsyth County, but the time has come. The shovel flag is made, the AO is named (Big Creek), emails and invites have been going on, so maybe it’s time for YHC (and Tuesday Q) to plan the beatdown.
We’ve all heard about Fowler. A quick trip to maps.google.com and a search through the aerials shows you really fast how much opportunity there is here and what a great AO it will become. However, you can’t fully gauge how massive this place is until you’ve been there. The park sprawls like Atlanta. Speed guys will love this place, it’s wide open and with so much in the distance there’s going to be some moving!
But enough about that, let’s talk about Tuesday…
The PAX (the group that posts (attending the workout)) all parked here: 34.151690, -84.210362 HINT, HINT…. with the shovel flag showing the way.
After some meet and greet for the early birds, we’ll head off at 5:30 AM, standard Verizon Wireless Eastern Time.
Out to the large field for some warmups. What else but some SSHs, of course imperial walkers, and then some other warmup items.
From there, the PAX will go back to the outer edge of the field to the “Kidney Bean” shaped path. In the direction of the shovel flag there is a Start|Finish Marker. The Pax will run clockwise around the bean.
