Glenn Cunningham

Preamble:

Told Bat Flippers about Glenn Cunningham and his awesome story of hard work to go from being told he would never walk again to eventually breaking world record in mile run.  His favorite verse was Isaiah 40:31.  Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.  They will  soar on wings like eagles.  They will run and not grow weary.  They will walk and not faint!

Warm-O-Rama:

Run to top of the hill and Shiner lead in cadence: Side-Straddle Hops, Windmills, Weed Pickers

Lot’s of mumblin mistakes by ole Shiner,   He obviously had not fully woken up yet! gonna practice and get down process of callin out warmup workouts.

The Thang:

BLIIMPS starting at baseline of football field.  Jog back to baseline after each BLIMPS down field.   3 times to keep blood pumpin on chilly mornin.

Mosey to outside of football field fence at base of hill. Bear crawls up hill and touch the fence. Crawl bear down. Escalating burpees at bottom and bear crawl to top and back in between each escalation to 10.

Indian run one time around field and lined em up on baseline

bear crawl to first line, crawl bear to middle of field, bear crawl to far line, zombie crawl last 20-25 yards.

Brownie led short mosey back up to flags and around parking lot twice and started Mary’s

COT:

Count-o-rama, name-o-rama. Asked for announcements and prayer request. Also quoted Isaiah 40:31 again.  US President election today! I told group my family is doing well and I am trying my best to swallow my pride and submit to my wife. It is a struggle to stay confident when submission is necessary but the strength of the Lord is helping me stay the course. Thanked the Lord for all these men and thanked the Lord for all our blessings. Prayed for all our relationships and for our acceptance of election results. In Jesus name!
