YHC disclosed last night at the 2nd F ATL United game that I would be rolling out a Murph in the morning. After a few beers, however, I realized that the full Murph was probably not attainable due to hangovers and time constraints. So instead, we completed a mini-Muph in preparation for the full shabang in 2 weeks. YHC on tap for the Q for that as well.
Long mosey up to the dog track for SSH & Weedpickers. Due to a good sized group and having a few RNG’s and 1 FNG, YHC felt the need to break out 21’s. Which entailed the Q counting cadence for SSH up to 5, then the PAX would continue in silence up to 21, and halt together. If the PAX did not halt simultaneously, 5 burpee punishment ensued. This happened twice, so 10 total burpees paid.
-started with a 1+ mile run around the park the long way to get to the playground
-50 pullups (sets of 5)
-100 merkins (sets of 10)
-150 squats (sets of 15)
-ended with a 1+ mile run back around park, then finished at flag
2 MOM to finish
This week would have been Michael P Murphy’s 43rd birthday. Instead he gave his life in Afghanistan saving others in his platoon in 2005. Let us not forget the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. The official Murph Challenge will be held on Memorial Day, 6:30a leaving from downtown Alpharetta. Prayers for a PAX dealing with a difficult relationship. Welcome FNG Oker (nod to wrestling announcer Mean Gene Okerlund). Former wrestler, loves hang gliding. Great addition.
-Always and honor to lead this group!
Pinkey has been put on Rubicon probation for showing up to the 2nd F United game last night and then fartsacking this morning. TCLAPS to Lefty for attending the game and also showing up for the pre-run with Pellets. Kotters award goes to Backdraft for coming back out after several months off.
YHC led the TNT discussion today about giving away F3 by being more involved. EH a neighbor, attend 2nd & 3rd F events, Q at different AO’s, support a launch, provide mumble chatter on Slack and Twitter. Find a way to get involved and make an impact on fellow PAX, but most importantly, sadclowns in the community.
