YHC was in the mood for a ruck-themed beatdown involving interval runs and pain stations. ChatGPT was only too eager to chime in with ideas for how this would go (see AI generated graphic attached). YHC's Slack pre-blast instructed the PAX to bring a ruck and extras for an expected FNG and relatively new guy.Warm-O-Rama:
Dispensed the usual disclaimer + 5 core principles. SSH, WP, WM, IW, AC Fwd/Bwd, MP in cadence. Struck up a Bob Dylan playlist, inspired by YHC's recently seeing "A Complete Unknown" and now listening thru the whole Dylan catalogue front to back. It's a great flick, so check it out.The Thang:
Thang 1: Ruck
The PAX loaded up their packs and hoofed it out towards 141, right, around the Sprouts parking lot, and over to the parking deck. Collect the PAX for the first reps station. AMRAP for 5 minutes:- 10 ruck squats
- 10 ruck bent-over rows
- 10 ruck overhead presses
- 10 ruck flutter kicks with ruck held overhead
Thang 2: Ruck
Load up packs again and hoof it around the parking deck 2nd level, down ramp to 1st level, around & up stairs to 3rd level, down ramp to 2nd level, and out to the top of the Bridge. YHC got excited and let a long tail grow maybe too long. Thankfully no FNGs got lost in the process. Collect the PAX for the second reps station. AMRAP for 5 minutes:- 10 merkins
- 10 single-count lunges w/ruck
- 10 upright rows
- 10 kettlebell swings w/ruck
Thang 3: Yuck
Load up packs again and hoof it across the Bridge, down stairs & around the base, back up stairs and back across the Bridge, on 141 to Town Center entrance, to town green. Freshly laid mulch in every town green mulch bed created a smothering sewer stench that almost caused a few PAX to spill the Merlot. So YHC led the group to the 1st level of the parking deck. Collect the PAX for the final station. Rucks off, partner up, and AMRAP for 5 minutes:- Partner A: Bear crawl ~20 yards, mosey back
