Six (Cold) Corners of Doom

Preamble:

With the wind howling and the temperature dropping, there was no time for formalities. A quick preamble and off we moseyed to the parking lot.

Warm-O-Rama:

While waiting for Shortcake, we decided to do 12 each of SSHs, Imperial Walkers, Weed Pickers, Toy Soldiers and then some arm circles. We then headed back to Ha-Ha’s ride to grab some girlfriends. Then off to the field.

The Thang:

A typical Cam’s intro beatdown includes a standard core blast. 10 minutes, 2 minutes per round, thus 5 rounds. Complete 10 American Hammers, 10 v-ups, 10 Gas Pumpers, and 10 jumping knee tucks. Then rest for the remainder of the 2 minute round. That got us warmed up for the real beatdown.

Delorean was nice enough to bring his speaker and musical selection so that we had some noise at the far end of the field. On the near end, my new bluetooth speaker made its debut, pumping out today’s musical selection, The Three Steves (Stevie Wonder, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and The Steve Miller Band).

4 cones were placed at each corner of the field and 2 more cones we’re placed at the 50 yard line “corners”. We split into two groups and started at opposite corners. With our girlfriends, we completed the following exercises at each cone: 5 each of squats, overhead presses, curls, mercans, skull crushers, and lunges. On the long sides of the field we jogged with our girlfriends to the next cone. On the far end we rifle-carried the girlfriend. And on the near end we bernied.

The combination of wind, cold, wetness, and girlfriends was not friendly to the Pax’s fingers on this cold morn. YHC holds no grudges for the disparaging comments uttered in his direction.

Continued prayers for ha-ha’s household, shortcake’s extended family, and all the things that went unspoken.
