Preamble:

YHC likes to try new ways to challenge PAX both physically and mentally. Today was one of those days. Being somewhat of a trivia buff, and a fan of 1970’s game shows, it was obvious that there was an opportunity to sweat and have more than a few laughs. So, with a veteran crew, short disclaimer was given, and off we went.

Warm-O-Rama:

10 each of the following:

Weedpickers

Willie Mays Hays

Short mosey around 1 row of the parking lot to the overhang

The Thang:

So – Dinghy’s Beatdown Discount consists of several rounds of paired exercises, each done for 10 sets, with a travel down the main concourse to the movie theatre and back. At the halfway point, there is a toll to be paid with an assigned exercises (going both ways). Here’s the capper: There are also questions coming from several categories, answered by the group. A correct answer yields a reduction in the toll, and an incorrect answer ensures FULL PRICE.

The Rounds of exercises included:

Round 1: 3 squats / 1 burpee x 10, toll of 5 Kracken Burpees (with the earned discount, 10 full price!)

Round 2: 3 alpha Bonnie Blairs / 1 mercan x 10 , toll of 5 Diamond mercans (with the discount, 10 full price!)

Round 3: DOUBLE AUDIO DISCOUNT! 3 Monkey Humpers / 1 Carolina Drydocks x 10, toll of  10 Monkey Humpers (with the discount, 20 without).

Naked-Man Moleskin:

For the entertainment of all, here are the categories/questions for today (playlist will be on Slack). Full disclosure, this was a lot of fun:

Football (the Canaries is name of what English Football Association club – Norwich, well done Boomer);

Find These Men (what is the nickname of the 1960’s serial killer who was the basis for the villain in DIRTY HARRY – Zodiac, well done Tenderfoot);

Therapists (Dr. Drew Pinsky’s syndicated radio show also starred which Man Show alum – Adam Carolla, thank you again, Tenderfoot);

Sounds a TV can Make (what activity was Kramer doing while listening to the music being played for the Audio Beatdown Double Discount, was it: Painting lanes on the Long Island Expressway, Helping Frank Costanza model a brazier for men, fabricating a chicken coop, or making sausage – that’s the one, and our legs thank you Tenderfoot);

A Sale of 2 Titties (Dolly Parton’s character in 9 to 5 helped to bring her boss to justice. Who played her boss: Dennis Weaver, Burt Reynolds, Tom Skerrit, or Dabney Coleman  – it was D, thank you Zima)
