Preamble:

We are in the holiday season and the holiday-themed beatdowns abound!  Last week YHC participated in 2 different “12 Days of Christmas” routines and while there was a strong pull to do something similar on this 12th day of the 12th month, YHC decided to change it up.  The number repetition could not be denied though so we embarked on a 12-Step program to celebrate the day!

Warm-O-Rama:

We started in place with

SSH
Imperial Walkers

Then a Mosey (with slides, butt kickers, and high knees) to the bakery (or “Lunge Lot”) to circle up for more…

Michael Phelps
Copperhead Squats
Weed Pickers
Hammy/ITB stretch

The Thang:

YHC led the PAX in a mosey toward the church parking lot.  Along the way, we stopped for:

  • 12 Bonnie Blairs
  • 12 Mercans
  • 12 Squats

The PAX continued to follow my lead as we weaved through 2 parking lots, regular mosey then Bernie-style until both lots were traversed.  This left us at Homer’s Donut where the real Thang began.

6 exercises were given, each with 12 steps ’round the Donut.  PAX would execute together and once complete, a mosey toward the church rounding the lane dividers and returning.

This process was repeated while dropping the last exercise each time. Said exercises were:

  • 12 Step Bear Crawl
  • 12 Step Walking Spiderman Mercans
  • 12 Lunges
  • 12 Broad Jumps
  • 12 Step Cheetah Crawl
  • 12 Burpee Broad Jumps

On the last round, the PAX crawled like bears halfway around the Donut then assembled for a mosey back toward the flag.  On the way we stopped again at the requisite “Lunge Lot” for, yes, Lunges.  PAX then lined up at the edge of the main parking lot.

Running every 2 parking lines, PAX performed 12 Mercans per stop until reaching the flag.  3 minutes or so of Mary was the finishing touch.

The seemingly random parking lot weaving was YHCs attempt at Christmas art, almost resembling the angel that was envisioned.  Oh well, had to give it a shot on my last Hooch Q of the year!

COT:

  • Birdie’s aunt’s family as her husband passed away after heart surgery
  • The Evans family as they spend their first Christmas without Stewart
  • Kids finishing the semester

Hooch/Boneyard Holiday Shin-dig at Feathers’ on Thursday!

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Great work by all, welcome to RNG Cohiba!  We continue to push, encourage, and grow.  What a great group!  Honored to lead today
