Preamble:

14 PAX joined me today for a variation of the Name That Tune – 80s/90s Movie Edition.  Thought we’d have a little fun and also compete for burpees.

Warm-O-Rama:

A quick mosey to the parking lot for:  SSH, Imperial Walkers, Weed Pickers, and Arm Circles.  Then a short mosey to the rock pile to pick out a nice coupon for the workout.

The Thang:

I had a playlist of 11 songs from 80s movies (and a couple from the 90s)  While the each song played all PAX did the following exercise for the duration of the song:

  1. Thrusters
  2. American Hammers
  3. Curls
  4. Squats
  5. Overhead Presses
  6. LBCs
  7. Skull Crushers
  8. Merkins
  9. Bent Over Rows
  10. V Ups
  11. Kettle Bell Swings

Once the exercises were established – the Name That Tune competition started.

We split into two teams.  For each song the teams had a chance to name the Artist, Song, and Movie in which the song was featured.  For each correct answer the losing team had to do 3 burpees.  We soon changed that to 5 burpees for each correct answer.

While the losing team did their 5-15 burpees the other team did a short lap in the parking lot.  When teams were finished with either the lap or burpees, they went back to the assigned exercise until the end of the song.

PAX were stumped on a few deep cuts or one-hit wonders, but many burpees were assigned throughout the beatdown.

COT:

Reminders for the Santa Ruck on the 1oth and the Blood Drive next week.

Zohan shared something that he learned from another AO/Region and we took the time to get to know the Six.  This was the PAX who was #6 during the count.  So Irene had the opportunity to share how he came to F3 and how he was named.

Naked-Man Moleskin:
