Math BOMBS

AO: The Hooch

When: 11/28/2022

QIC: BallBoy

PAX (15): Angus, Animal, BallBoy, Boomer, Flo, Maguire, McCracken, Meatball, Popper (Dan Richard), PuffDaddy, Scrooge, Speedo, Splinter, Sunshine, Tenderfoot

Preamble:

Perfect 50° morning for working off that turkey, dressing, and pie!

Warm-O-Rama:

Started in place with SSH and Squats while the last-minute crowd filed in. Then a mozy down to the bakery with High Knees and Butt-kickers along the way. Warm-up completed with Weedpickers, Windmills, Tempo Mercans, and Mountain Climbers

The Thang:

Took a nice mozy down toward the church and made our way to the amphitheater where all PAX grabbed a section of wall for descending exercises:

10 of each, then 9 of each, etc…

  • Dercans
  • Dips
  • Step-ups

With the blood now flowing we returned to the parking lot for Thang 2. For some reason YHC gravitates toward complicated numbers but tried to make it as minimally confusing as possible.

BOMBS were the premise, however not in Dora-style as customary. Partners were established and for Round 1, Partner 1 ran around Island 1 and back while Partner 2 performed the following:

  • 1 Burpee
  • 2 Overhead Claps
  • 3 Mercans
  • 4 Big Boy Situps
  • 5 Squats

Once both partners had run, the process was repeated… this time with Partner 1 running around Island 2 and Partner 2 performing exercises with counts of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. With five islands total, this was repeated until the 5th Island was circles and the counts reached 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25.

After a 10-count, the PAX descended back from Island 4 to Island 1 following the aforementioned counting scheme. Those who found 2nd Grade multiplication tables came naturally to them seemed to have no problems, but around the time we finished it was clear that the others had caught on. Math in the early morning gloom is tough.

YHC led the PAX back to the main parking lot where we side-shuffled our way back to the flag, switching directions at each line. Upon arrival, time was called.

COT:

Thanks was given for safe Thanksgiving travel. Prayers for Flo’s mom’s home sale and a new (old) job for Animal as well as another PAX looking at other job opportunities. UPCOMING EVENTS: Santa Ruck on Dec 10th, Hooch/Boneyard Party on 16th

Naked-Man Moleskin:

I appreciate the opportunity to lead and to work off the vast amount of food I’ve consumed over the past week. Thanks for always showing up and pushing me and yourself out there!
