Deck of the Mondays

AO: Boneyard

When: 11/07/2022

QIC: FannyPack

PAX (08): Feathers, Mater, Morphine, Scratch-Off, Speedo, Trebek, Tourniquet

Preamble:

A weird weekend and a Sunday night Slack check revealed that the Q for Monday was none other than… me.  A+ on being proactive.  F- on follow through.  Enter the Deck…

Warm-O-Rama:

PAX did a quick mosey around the parking lot followed by SSH, Windmills, Toy Soldiers, and Arm Circles.  Head to the pavilion.

The Thang:

We’ve used it twice this year at the Boneyard, and the goal is to make it through more of the deck each time.  36 was our previous record and the number to beat.

Mater assisted with setting out piles of 5 cards while YHC set up the Killers playlist.  We flipped the first five and got to it.

When we were dealt a 300M Sprint and a 200M Sprint in the same round, we took the run to the soccer field… brutal.

About 20 mins in, Feathers confessed his expanding appreciation for the Killers, which I take as a win.

Lots of legs, 100 SSH, mercans; we almost wore a hole in the concrete.

We mosey’ed back to the flag and had time for two rounds of Mary.

All told, we crushed 40 cards Monday morning.  Though I didn’t count until that evening, I had felt the effects all day.  Great work by all.

COT:

Prayers for sickness in Mater’s house and for FNG Tourniquet’s relative.  Announcements on the upcoming beer+chili ruck, blood drive, and Santa ruck.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Though I give myself an F on follow through, I get a B for preparation.  The F3 Workout Deck is a great resource for when a key date slips through the cracks.

My weekend was weird, and involved a lot of sitting.  Monday was a tough one for me & much needed.  Thank you to the men of F3 for the opportunity to move, to lead, and to get better.
