Preamble:

There was talk of a few FNG’s showing up this morning to their first session in the gloom.  One with a baby on the way (literally any day), and another we’ve been casually working on for years.  Some were skeptical either would show up – but alas – both did and are welcome additions to the Windjammer.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the dam.

SSH’s, Weed picker, Covids, Arm Circles, Mtn Man Poopers led by false start, naturally.

Mosey to the sports park basketball court.  Circle Burp while high-knees and butt kickers got us warmed up in no time.  15 burpees will do that.

The Thang:

New York Yankees Legend, Whitey Ford, was born in 1928.

Whitey won 6 World Series with the Yankees and was a 10x All Star.  He died at the age of 91.  Grab coupons from the dam rock pile.  Partner Up for a DORA.  1 exercises while other runs a lap around the pebble track

Wide Arm Merkins x 91

Hammers (American) x 91 (alpha)

Imperial Walkers x 91 (alpha)

The Copperhead Squat x 91

E2K’s (Elbow 2 Knees) x 91 each side

Yoke Walk (Hold Coupon Above Head around the circle while other runs a lap) x 2

Mosey over to the WinDAMmer Hill.  All PAX will run up the hill 3x

Back to the Dam. Too early for a sunrise, so we had 4 PAX lead some Mary instead.

Mosey back to the flag.  Burpees until the 6 is in.  Aaaaand TIME.

COT:

Santa Ruck – Milli is co-organizing.  Dec 10th.  Let’s have a MONSTER WINDJAMMER showing this year, gents!

Blood Drive – Day before Turkey Day.  Cookie reminded us that giving blood burns 2500 calories so you can eat more on Thanksgiving.  It’s science.

Beer ruck – November 13.  Chili, beer, rucking, 2.0’s.  Sunday afternoon.  Sounds like a nice time.  I will try to be there.  Milli and his gloom booms are not invited.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Thanks to Caroline for talking about how consistently posting at F3 beatdowns has helped him be more patient with his 2.0’s (and sometimes his M).  FNG Nair was inspired by his Red Rocks run in Denver last week – that fellowship is a major part of motivation and accountability.  No group better for that than F3, in my humble experience.  I’m so thankful for this group of brothers and appreciate the opportunity to lead you all.  Have a great weekend, fellas!
