I have been wanting to attend Widowmaker for a while. Thanks to Cox and NRA for inviting me in for my first visit. Always a pleasure to lead at a new AO. Many regulars were away at BRR, Grow Ruck and other events, but a 4Pax showed up. It’s cooler and damp with a great breeze. Let’s friggin do this.
Mosey to the bottom of the famous namesake hill “The Widowmaker” for some SSH, Weedpickers, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, Arm Circles & Covids. Let’s run half way up the hill and do 20 Monkey Humpers; finish the hill and do 20 Merkins. We were out of breath so I guess we’re warm.
Q had prepared a sweet tribute to the great music of the 70s that included some disco & rock and looked a little something like this:
Crocodile Rock – Group Lunges & Burpee on “Crocodile Rock”
Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough – (it’s MJ) Merkins & Run lap; alternating stairs and big loop
We are the Champions – Curls & Run lap on Pax call
Who’ll Stop the Rain – (only a light drizzle today) Jump Rope & Run lap on Pax call
My Sharona – Group Squats & Burpee on “Sharona” (not ‘My’)
Sweet Home AL – Group Lunges & Burpee on “Sweet Home Alabama”
Staying Alive – Skull Crusher & Run lap on Pax call
Ain’t No Mtn High Enough – LBCs
Rock with You – (gotta have 2 MJ songs) Overhead Press & Run on Pax call
Roxanne- (the doozy) SSH & Burpees in 2 teams on “Roxanne” & “Red Light” You don’t friggin have to already, Rox.
Ended with 4 minutes of Mary that included American Hammers, Box Cutters, & Flutter Kicks
Kudos to @Speedo for continuing on and completing his 5K weekly goal. Prayers for Speedo and his bride as they travel to AZ
Prayers for @NRA & @Boomer’s cross country runners
Prayers for @Turk’s 11-month old to begin sleeping better
Prayers for our brothers who are finishing BRR & starting Grow Ruck today. Nice work, Men.
Always a pleasure to lead at a new AO within F3 Alpha & F3 Nation. Rock on!
Set your goals, write them down, and work at them until they’re completed.
Then set new ones.
