Late start due to the Labor Day holiday so wasn’t sure if that would help or hurt attendance. Seven were in the lot as YHC came in hot, planted the flag, and saw it was time to go.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey down toward the pickleball courts for:
* Weedpickers x15 IC
* SSH x15 IC
* Hillbillies x15 IC
* World’s greatest stretch OYO

The Thang:

Plans are subject to change and the beatdown I wrote out yesterday was changed this morning as I had an early start to drive my son to the airport and had time to think about the workout. We started at the crosswalk next to the stairs and told the pax we stop every time we saw a crosshatch space (i.e. don’t park here marker) and do an exercise. We started with 5 rounds of assorted merkins with 15 reps at each stop. 75 merkins later and we were about 50 yards from where we started. Switched to lower body/leg exercises for the next 5 rounds and then to 5 rounds of abs, all with mosey in between.

Lo and behold we were back where we started so we rinsed and repeated, this time looking for the little islands where the curb is extended and where a tree is normally planted. Same cadence…5 upper body exercises with 15 reps each followed by 5 lower body exercises and then 5 abs exercises.

And just like that, we were back where we started. Time did not allow another full round but we did do 3 more exercises from each category (upper, lower, ab) with 15 reps each. We landed back at the flag for the ab stuff and were briefly joined by a young man (~7 years old) who was walking with his mom. He asked if he could join us for one last minute of gas pumpers which was a lot of fun. Hopefully we’ll see he and his dad back there on Friday.

COT:

Praise for Raspberry turning 28 years young today
Praise for Tar Heel and his M celebrating 12 years of marriage today
Props to Zohan for doing the IPC at the Coliseum this morning and then coming down for my beatdown.
Prayers for safety and strength for all the guys who are doing the BRR or GrowRuck this coming weekend.
Praise for YHC’s 3-year F3 anniversary today.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

It was fun to lead and sweat and laugh with you guys. There are never two workouts the same and I love that. I also love that there can be an almost 30-year age difference between the guys and we are all just brothers working hard and getting stronger. I often wish I had found F3 a long time ago but I’m sure glad I found it when I did. Many thanks to all the guys who have encouraged me to keep pushing…I’m a better man knowing you guys.
