A young 43 (almost)

AO: Boneyard

When: 06/24/2022

QIC: FannyPack

PAX (4): FannyPack, Mater, Speedo, Brownie

Preamble:

The planets were literally aligned for this beatdown.  Must be a sign.  Beautiful sky, Brownie told us what we were looking at as we gazed upward.

Tomorrow is YHC’s birthday so we worked around the magic number.

Working through Led Zeppelin’s catalog, we listened to “3” all the way through.  Great tunes, but really sucky workout music.  Adds to the challenge.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey’d around the parking lot and found an open spot.  Struggled to keep time & focus with track 2 “Friends”.

  • SSH
  • Windmills
  • Weedpickers
  • Hillbillies
  • Arm Circles.

Did a round of 21, which we nailed on the first attempt.  Then to make it an even ’43’ we did a round of 22- which I totally botched.  Lost in a syncopated beat, I called an audible and we moved on.

The Thang:

Mosey to the rock pile near the Vision Tunnel, grab a medium coupon.  43 of each, followed by a lap around the frog pond:

  • Curls
  • American Hammers
  • Skullcrushers
  • LBFC’s
  • BO rows

Next was a longer-than-expected mosey to turf field.  I really thought it was closer :|.  6 (or 10) Burpees per minute, for 10 rounds with a 10-second rest between.  My first try with Tabata & I liked it.  Went with the Laser Beam sounds.

We were going play frisbee & do some Wham-O Lunge walks, but time was cut short because of the aforementioned longer-than-expected Mosey.  Head to the illusory flag for some Mary.

  • YHC- Gas pumpers
  • Mater- LBC’s
  • Brownie- PSYCH, we’re at time.

The frisbee looked sad and neglected on the sidewalk.  Next time.

COT:

My brain was a bit cooked as we’ve not had AC at home this week.  My apologies for any missing details from the COT.  YHC shared about my recent family vacation & associated challenges, tried to keep it brief.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

I can’t say thank you enough for the encouragement and accountability to get up and get stronger.  Truly grateful for F3 and the opportunity to lead this morning.
