Pre-Thanksgiving Coupons

Preamble:

Chilliest start of the year with 27.5 on the weather station and frost on the pumpkin, but YHC would ensure that the PAX stayed warm and staved-off any frostbitten hands.

Warm-O-Rama:

Long mosey along the trail past the tennis courts and up the hill towards the pond.  Continued mosey around the pond and circle-up in front of of the gymnastics building for the following warm-ups:

  • Abe Vigodas
  • Hillbillys
  • Shoulder Taps

The Thang:

Q directed PAX towards the premium coupon pile to pick a winner and head for the first parking section at the bottom of the hill for the following:

  • Starting at the bottom, push coupon along the pavement across 2 parking spots.
  • Perform 10 Curls.
  • Rinse & repeat the above until reaching the last parking lot (roughly 20-25 spots).

Slow squats for the six.  Some complaints about cold fingers (YHC wasn’t going to argue), so YHC directed PAX to leave the coupons and take a quick mosey around the complex, running backwards up the main entrance hill.

Quick stop at the wall for a round of descending Merkins, as follows:

  • 5 Decline Merkins with toes at top.
  • Move toes down 1 course of stone, then perform another 5 Decline Merkins.
  • Rinse & repeat the above until toes are on the ground.

With fingers sufficiently warm again, Q directed PAX to pick a different coupon and head for the first parking section at the bottom of the hill for the following:

  • Starting at the bottom, push coupon along the pavement across 2 parking spots.
  • Perform 5 Thrusters.
  • Rinse & repeat the above until reaching the last parking lot (roughly 20-25 spots).

Slow squats for the six.  Once completed, Q directed PAX to form a tight circle for some descending repetitions of the following:

  • 10 Overhead Press.
  • 10 Skull-Crushers.
  • 10 Curls.
  • Rotate coupon clock-wise, repeat the above and subtract a repetition until reaching 5.
  • At 5 repetitions, start increasing reps until reaching 10.

More complaints about cold fingers, so YHC directed PAX to discard the coupons and take another quick mosey around the complex, running backwards up the main entrance hill again.

Another quick stop at the wall for a round of descending Merkins (keep the knees off the ground), as follows:

  • 10 Decline Merkins with toes at top.
  • Move toes down 1 course of stone, then perform another 10 Decline Merkins.
  • Rinse & repeat the above until toes are on the ground.

For the record, Vanilla never did touch his knees to the ground.

Once completed, just enough time on the clock for an extended mosey back to the flag.  No time for Mary today.

COT:

  • 0700 start for Thanksgiving Edition Hog Wallow Thursday.
  • 0700 start for Friday Wreck, followed by CLC.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Despite many adversities, a lot to be thankful for this year.  Can’t say enough about the strength of the F3 brotherhood to keep one positive and moving forward through the storm.  Blessed to have have Hammy join the crew.  He’s been a lurker for years, apparently – wasn’t quite sure what to make of a bunch of idiots running around like a pack of wolves at 0530.  Now he knows.
