Nice Jugs for a Farmer…

AO: Gladiator

When: 2021-09-16

QIC: Spandex

PAX (10): Cheneral, Fire Drill, Ironhead, Scratch-Off, Snowbird, Spandex, Speedo, Tar Heel, TheBigShort, Brownie

Preamble:

Ten PAX showed up this morning ready to go.  Cinders were required and we were two cinders short.  So, the PAX wandered over to the cinder stash and picked up a couple more so we each had what we needed. With cinders in tow, the PAX slow moseyed over to the parking lot adjacent to the tennis courts for a brief warmup.

Warm-O-Rama:

We circled up in the gloom and performed the following...
  • 10 weedpickers
  • A brief set of Michael Phelps OYO
YHC figured the slow mosey with cinders was a fairly adequate warmup for what was to come.

The Thang:

We finished the warmup and headed to the hill at the back entrance.  It is there where the PAX was introduced to a couple of 50-pound water containers. For this set of exercises, PAX 1 did a farmers carry up the hill and then returned while the rest of the PAX performed the exercise assigned to them by the water carrier.  After the carrier returned, all PAX would perform a hill repeat.  Rinse and repeat until all PAX had carried the water jugs. Below is a list of most of the exercises that were called out by the PAX:
  • Burpee block jump-overs
  • Sumo Squats
  • Skull Crushers
  • Big boy situps
  • LBCs
  • Bent over rows
  • Bonnie Blairs
  • Curls
  • Forgot this one
  • Forgot this one too
When the 10 exercises, 10 farmers carries, and 10 hill repeats were complete the PAX headed back towards the flag.  At this point, we all had a cinder and now we had two 50 pound water jugs to carry back to the flag. We took turns sharing the load as we worked our way back to the cinder stash to return a couple of cinders.  We eventually made it back to the main parking lot and still had about 15 more minutes to go. The last set of exercises was 7s performed on the back hill near the rec center.  1 big boy situp at the bottom of the hill and 6 squats at the top.  Repeat until 7s are complete.  With still a few minutes to spare, we ran a quick lap around the parking lot and then finished up with a couple of Mary exercises.

COT:

  1. We are all missing Laces at the BDs.  He has to stay off his knee so healing can occur.  Please keep him in your prayers for his knee to recover and for his patience as he is required to lay low for a while.
  2. Pray for Cheneral as he continues testing for his heart palpitations.
  3. Pray for Tar Heel's friend's family as they lost the father this time last year when a drunk driver caused an accident.
  4. Pray for the folks in Sandy Springs that lost their homes due to a fire caused by a gas leak.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

It's always a pleasure, gentlemen!
