What Goes Up Must Come Down

Preamble:

Whiz, Spit Valve, Crab Cakes, and White Claw for the pre-run.  Crab Cakes mentioned they got 5 miles in the last time with pre-run included.  Sounded like a challenge to YHC with the new goal being a 10k.

Warm-O-Rama:

Short disclaimer then headed down to the bottom cul-de-sac parking lot for some IC SSH, Hillbillies, Imperial Walkers, and Weedpickers.

The Thang:

After WOR PAX headed up to the turf field for The Thang which was Escalating 4 Corners.  1st corner 10 Big Boys, 2nd corner 10 Big Boys/20 Alpha Count Freddie Mercuries, 3rd corner 10 Big Boys/20 Alpha Count Freddie Mercuries/30 Alpha Count American Hammers, 4th corner 10 Big Boys/20 Alpha Count Freddie Mercuries/30 Alpha Count American Hammers/40 Alpha Count Flutter Kicks.  Bonus:  10 Burpees every time you pass the 50 yard line or a goal post.

Lined up for a quick Indian Run back up the hill to the other turf field.

If you go up an escalator its only natural that you have to come back down with the De-Escalating 4 Corners.  1st corner 10 Big Boys/20 Alpha Count Freddie Mercuries/30 Alpha Count American Hammers/40 Alpha Count Flutter Kicks, 2nd corner 10 Big Boys/20 Alpha Count Freddie Mercuries/30 Alpha Count American Hammers, 3rd corner 10 Big Boys/20 Alpha Count Freddie Mercuries, 4th corner 10 Big Boys.  Bonus:  10 Burpees every time you pass the 50 yard line or a goal post.

Up to this point each PAX had done a total of 80 Burpees which sounded incomplete.  YHC called for 20 more Burpees to get to a more round number of 100.  Just enough time to complete and head back to the flag.

Failed to get Crab Cakes to a 10k which just gives us something to shoot for next time.  My Apple Watch got almost 6 miles but the Garmin watches were closer to 5.
