Preamble:

After a record 5 for the pre-run, YHC was pumped and ready for this epic beatdown that was about to occur. When we rolled in, there was quite a large crowd ready to go.

Warm-O-Rama:

Quick mosey around the parking lot, with some Carioca both sides and then circle up.

The following IC:

  • Side Straddle Hop
  • Windmill (apparently my cadence was too fast for most on this, based on the mumblechatter)
  • Imperial Walkers
  • Moroccan Nightclubs

The Thang:

Quickly, YHC laid it out for the PAX: a burpee mile. We’d run a mile, and at every tenth of a mile, we’d stop and do 10 burpees. At the end we’d have 100 burpees, yeah! The PAX was super excited about this, it was apparent. So, off we went, stopping at the following scenic spots for 10 burpees each: Hurricane’s, entrance of the church parking lot, at the roundabout, twice on the way to the pool (this was halfway, so we did some air squats to partially recover and wait for the six), once by the track entrance, down by the Bricks, under the covered area, then the other covered area by the chapel, and then the end of that parking lot. That makes 100 burpees!

YHC checked the time and noticed that we had enough for a few things, but not another burpee mile. So we moseyed over to behind Hurricane’s and someone whispered a request that YHC was happy to oblige. Partner up and one does balls to the wall while the partner goes across the lot and does 25 star jumps. We did two sets of this, and there was some great form out there, let me tell you.

Mosey back to the flag for a good amount of time for some solid ab work. Here’s what we did: big boy situps, american hammer, gas pumper, crunchy frogs, LBC, Freddy Mercury, and that’s it – time’s up.

COT:

Prayers for family and strength and patience and safe travels.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Honored to lead today, while it hurt, the PAX all felt accomplished that we had done 100 burpees and a solid beatdown. Well done all!

Also, I’ve been really impressed with all the new faces and so glad they’re sticking around. It’s great to have you at the Hooch, keep on coming back!
