After a Big Super Bowl win by the Philadelphia Eagles, 12 PAX arose dark and early for the 0530 beat down.

The Thang

Hindsight is 20/20.  Mosey started at 5:30 to the wall between the fields. We then warmed up with 20 Decline Merkins, 20 Dips and 20 Step-ups (10 each leg). We then collected ourselves on the goal line of the football field. We broke off into two groups for no specific reason other than I had put sheets of paper with exercises on each of the numbers of the field. Sprint to the 20 and do 20 reps of the first exercise on the list. Sprint to the 40 and do 20 reps of the first exercise on the list. Sprint to the other 40 and do 20 reps of the first exercise on the list. Sprint to the 20 and do 20 reps of the first exercise and sprint to the goal line and do 20 reps of the first exercise. Then sprint back to starting goal line and do 10 Burpees.

Each list had 3 exercises. Rinse/repeat until done with first three sets, then reverse order and do 3 more sets.

Exercises consisted of, in no particular order:  Merkins, Diamond Merkins, Squats, Windmills, Stone Mountains, Monkey Humpers, SSH, LBC, Big Boy Sit-ups, Side Lunges, American Hammers, Lunges, Cotton Pickers, Imperial Walkers and Peter Parkers.

When finished, the group circled-up and planked for the six. We then had a fun version of duck-duck-goose. We each called out an exercise. While the group did the exercise, the person who called it out ran around the circle back to their place. Upon landing in their place the next person would call out an exercise and run around to their position. The exercises were executed in no particular order, but included:  Merkins, Diamond Merkins, Burpees, SSH, Flutter Kicks, Dolly’s, Freddy Mercury, Rooney Flyer, Bear crawl clockwise, and 2 others I can’t remember because I’m old (ed).

We then moseyed back to the flag where there were some Flutter kicks and Ended with the Imagine Dragons Thunder (as if there weren’t enough squats this morning). Each time Thunder was spoken, PAX did a squat and shoulder presses during the down time. There should have been 97 squats done at this time, but due to lack of “loud” speaker to hear the words and (lots of mumble chatter), there were a lot less done.
