Week 2 of the Gladiator Ruck BDs. After a 2-man showing last week, it was great to have some HCs the night before and an admonishment from my co-Q that the workout would take place rain or shine. Core Principle #3!
YHC awoke to the sounds of a serious thunderstorm and that 5am feeling…but fortunately it was 1:30. Back to sleep. All was quiet when I woke up for real, and a light rain started on the drive to ERP.
Walk and talk. With an FNG present, YHC gave a full disclaimer. We also carried our rucks overhead as we walked to the pavilion near Fouts.
After walking through the ever-present puddle in front of the pavilion, we knocked out 12 weedpickers and 12 or 15 Imperial Walkers.
The workout was introduced: The “Will” Battle Buddy WOD, in honor of Will Lindsay who was killed in action in 2019.

We did 5 rounds and broke for the first .5 miles, then rinse and repeat the whole thing.
A few minutes left, so at the nonexistent flag we did mini chesto suicides across the parking lot. Finished right at 0615.
We named our FNG, thanks Defcon2 for bringing him out.
