The most BORING and Uncreative BD in the history of F3!

AO: The Gladiator

When: 03/07/2019

QIC: Spandex

PAX (10): Viking, Tebow, Sox, Buckets, Black Box, Moonshine, Puddle Jumper, Renegade, Manchester, Spandex

Preamble:

It was another chilly morning at The Gladiator and YHC was feeling a little under the weather.  I was thinking about calling in, but I didn’t want to borrow this tactic from DC2.

There was a total 10 PAX and no FNGs for this morning’s BD so a very quick disclaimer was given and we were off.  We headed out for a short mosey around the parking lot and then circled up for a warmup.

Warm-O-Rama:

  • 20 SSH
  • 20 Wind Mills

The Thang:

After the warm-up, we had a very short mosey to the soccer field to get this beatdown started.  We gathered at the baseline and instructions were given for the first set of alternating exercises.  There was a total of 6 exercises alternating between two for each set.

The PAX performed the following…

  • 20 Burpees then 20 Grasshoppers, run to midfield and back, Mary for the 6 (Rinse and repeat 2 more times) PAX run a lap around the field
  • 20 Jump Squats then 20 Mercans run to midfield and back, Mary for the 6 (Rinse and repeat 2 more times) PAX run a lap around the field
  • 20 Bonnie Blair’s then 20 Plank Jacks run to midfield and back, Mary for the 6 (Rinse and repeat 2 more times) PAX run a lap around the field

It didn’t take long for the mumble chatter to start with comments regarding the rinse and repeat pattern.  “Gee, I wonder what’s next” or “hey Spandex, you’ve really put a lot of time and effort into planning this BD,” or “wow, this was very creative.”

Yep, this was a pretty simple BD, but overall, I felt it was challenging.  Especially when I glance over to my left during Bonnie Blairs to see Manchester wiping his feet on the ground.  Or at least that’s what it looked like.  I don’t know what he was doing, but they weren’t Bonnie Blairs!

Originally, I was going to do each alternating set 4 times but was concerned about time.  So, we did three alternating sets of each followed by one super set of all 6 exercises.

All told the PAX did:

80 Burpees

80 Grasshoppers

80 Jump Squats

80 Mercans

80 Bonnie Blair’s

80 Plank Jacks

We performed the last set of Bonnie Blairs and Plank Jacks back at the flag after we circled up.  We all wanted to critique Manchester on this last set.  His form was perfect and DC2 would have been proud if he had shown up!

Thank you to all the PAX that participated today.  It’s always an honor to lead this awesome group of men!  And thank you to BlackBox for appreciating the beauty that simplicity offers.
