The PAX were instructed to bring their reflective vests for a road trip off campus. And that we did, and here is what went down.
Quick warmup lap in the parking lot to wait on the late arriving PAX (who shall remain unnamed until the NMM below), then head over to the side parking lot for SSH, Moroccan Night Club, Michael Phelps & WeedPickers/Through the Tunnel
The road trip began on the north side of the park and would finish there 42 minutes later. In between we ran the perimeter of the park starting on Old Milton, turning right on Hwy 9, then right on Wills Rd, then cutting back through the park eventually making our way to the flag. We had about 15 stops along the way for pain, including merkins, Bonnie Burps (bonnie blair combined with a burpee), peter parker, mike tyson, plank jacks, mountain climbers, more merkins, hill running, more merkins, balls to the wall, pull-ups, dips, box jumps & much more. After about 3 miles, we made it back to the flag with 3 minutes to spare, just enough time for flutter kicks, american hammer and JLO.
Prayers were spoken for healthy bodies and minds as well as our desire to EH more men that need something like F3 in their lives. YHC shared a quick Truth Nugget for our weekly TNT session over coffee. A blend of two stories told by Col. Trotti a few weeks ago at the Cherokee Convergence, the moral being “we’ve all been shot, drive the Humvee”. Don’t feel ashamed or feel sorry for yourself if you have problems, we are all flawed human beings and creatures of God.
BoKnows coming in hot on two wheels is always fun to see. Luckily for him YHC kept us in the parking lot for the warmup. 2 PAX for a pre-run including Pellets who had to bolt before the beatdown due to a family obligation. TCLAPS to him for crossing 100 miles again in February, and TCLAPS to MillerTime and all of the other PAX who conquered the NO SUGAR challenge. Next up is the 20 post challenge for March.
