Zima and I just returned from an awesome vacation with the M’s over in Italy. So this morning I decided we would recap our tour ITG. Here’s how the story unfolded …
First up we moseyed over to the pool parking lot for some warm ups consisting of IC SSH, windmills, mountain climbers and hill billies. Then we headed over to FOD.
We kicked off our tour in Venice, a city with a lot of bridges. Partner up for bridge derkins. Line up on the 3rd base line, one partner in plank and the other doing derkins with feet up on your partner’s back. Set of 25 reps and flap jack. Run out to the end of the infield for a set of 20 each. Continue back and forth for sets of 15, 10 and 5. Next stop on the tour was Cinque Terre. This area has a ton of steep mountains, so we headed to the FOD hill for 11’s up the hill. Burpees at the top and V-ups at the bottom.
From there we moved on to Lucca, the city of walls. A quick run around to the planters outside the FOD outfield gave us our walls to work with. OYO sets of step-ups and dips. Sets of 25, 15 and 5 reps. Cookie was upset we skipped 20 so we went back and picked up that set as well. What would a trip to the walled city be without some BTTW? Everyone found a spot on the building wall for BTTW til failure … Nacho took the day with Cookie giving him a run for the money. 4th on the tour train was Florence, a city with one major bridge. So we moseyed over to the playground area and split into 3 groups. Group 1 started at the monkey bars for pull-ups, group 2 across the bridge for monkey humpers and group 3 back across the bridge at the wall for carolina dry-docks. Sets of 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 reps rotating through all stations. Bridge (plank) for the six. Final stop in the tour was a return to Venice for a short stay. We headed back to the flag for a short bridge (plank) til calling time. With that, our tour was complete.
Lowes is collecting Oreos for the troops through the end of June.
