Burp the Bear

YHC struggles with bear crawls and burpees.  They punish this middle-aged figure.  Hence, the need to earn a worthy ‘Q’ by making sure it featured said exercises.  The rain last night brought a slight modification, but no worries.  All was . . . well.

Warm-up

Parking lots moseying interspersed with a warm-orama one could set his watch to when YHC has the Q:

** 20 Happy Jacks

** 20 Monkey Humpers (Monkey Humper Wednesday)

** 10 Cotton Pickers

Head to the track and stadium

The Thang

** Forties —   10/30 reps of Dips and Merkins, increasing/decreasing increments of 5, until we hit 30/10.  Home and visitor opposing stadium stair sets were utilized, whereby the PAX hustled up the steps and down, completed the exercise, and then proceeded a half track lap around to the other side for the other half.  The PAX covered over 2 miles in total, and naturally 100 of each exercise.

Regroup near midfield on the track . . .

** Bear Crawl Burpee – PAX bear crawl burped from midfield to the Grizzly entrance.  The exercise included the drop/leg thrust of the burpee, into then crawl position, crawl until Q shouts Grizzly, whereby one completes the burpee and leaps to peak.  Drop again, repeat.  Hurtlocker over any lengthy distance.  Tclaps to Banjo and Cricket for powering through the crawl and leading the charge.  Sympathy for those who started at the back of the group, having likely completed 20 yards more than the rest of the PAX.

Exit the football field, to the flag, very broad circle-up . . .

** Bear Crawl Ring of Fire – Circle up, bear crawl clockwise until Q indicates drop, merkin ring of fire counterclockwise around (every other given the large group) while the rest plank, then crawl again, drop repeat.  Three sets in, then time.

** Prayers for Houston and all F3 brothers in that vicinity

** Prayers for all those impacted by natural disasters, both current and pending, that they not lose heart & faith
