Tour-de-parking lot (with an eclectic soundtrack)

AO: The Hooch

When: 07/17/2019

QIC: Feathers

PAX (6): Flo, Homer, Boomer, Sunshine, Maximus (welcome), Feathers

Preamble:

Summer in ATL is clearly in full-force, as only 6 PAX faced the not-so-gloomy gloom for a beatdown to the beat of what I have to assume is the only playlist to include both John Denver and Accept (German metal fans unite).

Warm-O-Rama:

Standard Mosey with side-sides, Bernies, high-knees, followed by SSHs, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, and Moroccan Night Clubs.

The Thang:

Movement 1:

Mosey to ‘the racetrack’ behind Twisted Taco – a blacktop oval known for its pain stations and stinky dumpsters – and partner up.  One HIM runs, with purpose, around the track, while the other rides the pain train.  Switch each lap so that each partner performs one max set of Burpees, Merkins, Star Jumps, LBCs, and Heismans to the beat of:

Sound Selection: Going the Distance by Cake

Movement 2:

Mosey to the Waffle House.  PAX take turns hero carrying Sunshine across the lot, and perform single-leg lunges while awaiting their precious package.

Sound Selection: Sunshine On My Shoulder by John Denver

Movement 3:

Mosey to the back wall of the former Hurricane Bar and Grill.  While 1 partner performs Balls-to-the-Wall for as long as possible, the other maxes out Mary-Catherines.  Swap and repeat for an entire performance of…

Sound Selection: Balls to the Wall by Accept (but of course)

Movement 4:

Mosey to the sidewalk near (but not obnoxiously close to) Iron Tribe for a core sequence, rotating through 30ish second repeats of Planks, Mountain Climbers, Side Planks, Downward Dogs, and Plank Jacks for the duration of:

Sound Selection: Iron Man by Black Sabbath (see what I did there?)

Intermezzo:

Indian Run back to the racetrack area to the tune of:

Sound Selection: Indian Outlaw by Tim McGraw

Movement 5:

Right back where we started for an R&R of Station 1, just in reverse direction and closer to the malodorous dumpster, as Cake performs an encore.

Finale:

Mosey back to the circle for 4 MOM, inclusive of AmHams, Box Cutters, Freddie Mercurys.

COT:

Praise for home sale, prayers for financial stability and travel mercies for all of our PAX on vacation.  Reminder to connect with those whom we have not seen in some time – you are missed.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Always and honor and fun to lead these men.
