Told You It’d Be Fun

Preamble:

YHC promised there “might” be some fun, but I was looking forward to including some old favorites.  Boomer didn’t seem convinced it was going to be fun. We had a few PAX out for injuries and travel, but still had 15 strong.

Warm-O-Rama:

Short Mosey for warmup.  Then Weed Pickers, Hillbillies, Squats, and SSH’s.

The Thang:

We made the trip over to the church soccer field.  The PAX seemed to be dreading what was to come, but the promise of fun really meant we’d be pushing one another, but not too far.

• They’re Back!  Alligator crawl is probably about as miserable as it gets, but a great mental push.  We only did 10 paces and moseyed to the other side.  5 Merkins isn’t too bad?  Unless it’s the Worst Merkin Ever (in other words, we did 15 merkins).
• Round 2 replaced Alligators with Bear Crawls, and stepping up to the Worst Worst Merkin Ever.  Or 20 merkins.

YHC moseyed to “Chapel Hill.”  Great hill, bad burpees.  The PAX weren’t too excited about 100 burpees, but it’s a lot easier with a partner.  We Bernie Sanders’ up the hill.  Scrooge noticed it was a lot harder than it should have been, backed up by several PAX.

We moseyed over for some Captain Therkin, with Sunshine’s approval.  We finished timely, and I believe someone was looking for recovery time.  It’s just a little run?

4 Rounds of Bear Crawls and Derkins were in order, and Birdy did a great job of hanging with it.  We moseyed over to “Old Hurricanes” for some lunges, then AYG to the Flag!

COT:

Continued prayers for Pooh Bear’s mother-in-law, and please remember to pray for his mother.  Let’s not forget the Stephen’s as well, keep them in your prayers.  There are several PAX with injuries, both that were there today and couldn’t make it,  prayers for a speedy recovery.
