3 Dawgs (Stroller, Lefty, and White Claw) started off on a pre-run around town. Picked up a Top Hat along the way while Miller Time caught up after being a few minutes late dreaming about the bucks he wants take out.
Started off with a short mosey followed by SSH, Weed Pickers, and Toy Soldiers (which I was told were called Windmills but after consulting the Lexicon they are one in the same).
Headed over to the Field of Dreams for a routine called 7 of diamonds. Consists of 7 rounds of different exercises in multiples of 7 as we run around the field.
Round 1 – 7 Burpees at each corner (total of 28)
Round 2 – 14 Big Boys at each corner (total of 56)
Round 3 – 21 Merkins at each corner (total of 84)
Round 4 – 28 Squats at each corner (total of 112)
Round 5 – 21 Merkins at each corner (total of 84)
Round 6 – 14 Big Boys at each corner (total of 56)
Round 7 – 7 Burpees at each corner (total of 28)
Had a little bit of time left after 7 of diamonds so we bear crawled around the baseball diamond stopping at each base to do 20 Bonnie Blairs (10 each leg).
After that headed back to the flag for some Freddie Mercury, Buzzsaw, LBC’s
3rd time was a charm for me. It took Bronco telling me twice to come out and Devito telling me once to come to the workouts for me to finally break my old workout routine and try something new. It is definitely one of the best decisions I’ve made. Working out in a gym gets stale pretty fast and it gets harder to push yourself day after day with the same old routine especially working out alone. The variety we get everyday along with the camaraderie that goes into it can’t be beat. I truly enjoy getting up to go to these workouts while also trying to take little things from each and every guy out there to try to better myself as a husband, dad, community member and friend to all. Can’t wait to get out there again to test myself and get better everyday. Thanks to all!
