A Rockin/ Mosey Good Time

AO: The Gladiator

When: 11/07/2019

QIC: Tebow

PAX (12): Stud Finder, Renegade, Brownie, Spandex, Speedo, Shrinkage, Delicious, Postal, Cheneral, Scratch Off, Sox

Preamble:

While still not a Tebow Tuesday, I certainly appreciated the 12 men who came out this morning (I must be slipping!).  It was a beautiful day for a beat down and thanks to everyone for putting up with the high mosey workout.

Warm-O-Rama:

A mosey to the rock pile where we grabbed a couple of fist sized rocks and then carried them up to the top parking lot by Eaves Road.  The Warm up was all completed with stones in hand.

SSH x 15

Hillbillies x 15

Weedpickers x 15 (the clank of the rocks was very satisfying on this one)

The Thang:

Thang 1

We partners up for a little Dora, since everyone had rocks, nobody got to put them down.  One man would perform the exercise while the partner ran down to the crosswalk with his rocks, I enjoyed seeing some of the PAX running with their arms just straight down by their sides, I’m sure it was enjoyable.  Some even got some extra credit as the instructions were to just run up and down the hill with your rocks until the 6 was in.

100 front lateral raises (I think that is what those were called, but not sure calling something “front” and “lateral” at the same time.

200 side lateral raises

300 tricep extensions.

Thang 2 – Jelly Legs

We dumped our rocks and moseyed to the pitch.  This was a repeat of last Thursdays Q, but since nobody was there, I wanted more men to enjoy it.

Circle up for 15 cheerleaders in cadence to numb the legs, immediately followed by “Failure to Launch”, holding a deep squat for a 10 count and then exploding into a jump tuck and landing back in the squat. We did 10 reps of that and I think a few of us had a vertical of… well no vertical at all after that.

Now that everyone looked nice and wobbly, we lined up on the baseline for suicides across the pitch, that first little stretch my legs were not very thrilled about.  As the gazelles finished up, we went back downfield and finished with the Sox… I mean the six.  Rinse and repeat, but on the second round, every time you hit a line, you did a burpee.

Back to the flag where Brownie led us in some Freddie Mercuries that might still be going on and some American Hammers from the Cheneral.

COT:

Praise and prayers for Shrinkage as he and the M open their retail store by the fresh market and he hopes to get a job offer in the coming days.

Cheneral will be preaching at his church on Sunday at 10:45. 2662 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30022. He also has a podcast called Monday Musings that just hit apple and google podcasts!

Prayers for Spandex’s family as the challenges with his sister test his family, even though she is regaining more function since her stroke.

Continued prayers for Ashley, but he seems to be doing okay since the heart attack.

Prayers for Postal as he is watching his cholesterol and trying to get in more cardio (you’re welcome for today then!).  He invited us all to mock him with our burgers at the cookouts next summer as he enjoys his chicken and turkey burgers.

Prayers and encouragement for Renegade as they are expecting a new arrival any day now, I anticipate we’ll see a lot of him since he’ll be up anyway!

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Thanks to everyone for allowing me to lead, it still amazes me that we blindly follow each other through this ridiculousness in the gloom.  It’s an honor and I had a blast, although I could have used some mobile DJ – I’m looking at  you Viking.
