AO: The Hooch

When: 10/14/2019

QIC: Popper

PAX (13): Boomer, Animal, Cougar, El Matador, Ball Boy, Splinter, Cookie, Flo, Meatball, Homer, Feathers, Sunshine

Preamble:

Since a Hooch backblast is a rare sight these days, YHC took it upon himself to add a tome to these holy texts.

The epistle of Popper, to the PAX of F3Alpha, greetings.

After a long-awaited rain cooled our Johns Creek temps to the low 50’s, thirteen PAX including three shield lock runners posted at The Hooch for some betterment. YHC sported the headband to release his inner Richard Simmons. No FNGs, so with a short disclaimer we were off.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to bankrupt Hurricanes. Halt for a warmup medley of SSH, WP, WM, IW, MNC.

Mosey to Perimeter Church pond-front patio. On the way, continue the warmup with side-to-side x2, high knees, butt kickers, bernie.

The Thang:

Thang 1: Dora 1-2-3

In front of the pond, partner up and pick a piece of low wall for the following:

  1. 100x dirty handshake
  2. 200x donkey kicks
  3. 300x dips
  4. Partners alternate between doing reps and running the counter-clockwise loop around the lake

Some Mary, then dips IC to pick up the 6. YHC got feisty suggesting 100, and wisely took the counsel of lieutenant Flo and halted at 35. Ten count.

Thang 2: 11’s

Mosey to the base of chapel hill. Mosey up and down the sidewalk hill while:

  1. Incrementing double-count Bonnie Blairs at the bottom
  2. Decrementing star jumps at the top

Mary and plank for the 6. Ten count.

Indian run back to Hurricanes, then normal Mosey to flag.

Mary

Pass the baton to the PAX on Mary. Breakdance, buzzsaw, box cutter, American hammer. Newer PAX getting in on calling cadence; these HIMs will be Q-ing in no time.

COT:

Prayers for the Stephens family as Kirk continues battling cancer. Strength and peace.

Coffeeteria afterwards.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

It’s amazing how much difference 10 degrees makes in an outdoor workout. After working out in a rain-less humid sauna for months, temps in the 50’s after a nice steady rain are a welcome change. Looking forward to more temp drops and bone-chilling lows in the months ahead! Won’t be long before it’s time to dig out the hoodie and beanie again!
