And so thus the week begins

AO: The Grindstone

When: 08/03/2020

QIC: Zohan

PAX (7): Snowman, Hushpuppy, Whiz, Deuce, Swiper, Wrigley, Zohan

Preamble:

Excited to start a week long of daily Qs at the Grindstone!

This week I’m celebrating both 3 years in F3 (this Wednesday) and 42nd Birthday (upcoming Sunday). My wife is out of town and I thought that the best gift I can give myself is to commit to spending time with my brothers in F3 and pushing myself to accelerate.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey around the parking lot with some high knees and ass kickers. We stopped at the grass across from the flag, near a coupon pile, for some Weed Pickers, Imperial Walkers, Merkins and Moroccan Night Clubs.

The Thang:

Coupons

The stretch of grass we were on had several coupon piles next to each other and YHC hates wasting good coupons. Starting at the first one pile we did 15 of each – Curls, Shoulder Presses and Skull Crushers. Burpee Broad Jumps to the next coupon pile (about 2-3 jumps between piles) and again 15 of each. 7 piles in total. Additional Burpees waiting for the 6.

Dos and UndosĀ

We moseyed to the baseball fields above the big add parking lot for 4 corners.

Alternate Bear Crawl and run between bases, 20 LBCs at each base including start and finish for a total of 100 LBCs.

YHC told the PAX it was badly done and needs to be undone – 20 Reverse LBCs at each base, alternate Crawl Bears and Run Backwards.

3rd round – 20 Bonnie Blairs at each base and alternating Crab Walk and Run was much better.

AMRAP Merkins

We partnered up outside of baseball field. One partner runs toward the stairs, down and back. The other does AMRAP Merkins. First round regular, 2nd Wide and 3rd round Diamonds. We did not have time to continue with stagger merkins and had to run back to the flag.

We reached the flag with no time for Mary.

COT:

Snowman’s dad passed away. The service will be this Friday.

Hushpuppy excited about a job interview.

Swiper’s daughter starting college.

After the COT a prolong discussion about keeping the lights on at the Grindstone on Wednesdays’ mornings.
